Whoever came up with combining tea and beer was a creative genius. It sounds a little strange, but just trust us and try our new Session IPA with strawberry and green tea.
The brewers have been mulling over the green tea beer idea for quite some time, but it wasn't until our sales rep Ryan came and raved to them about an awesome green tea beer he tried in Toronto that gave them the final push to make one themselves.
They decided to use some of the leftover strawberry puree from the Strawberry Rhubarb Volt to add in with the green tea, and so, Toy Robot was born.
Small 355mL cans were chosen to house the beer because they loved the way the label looked on them. This is the brewers' favourite Carl Wiens label so far.
Chef Brian suggests pairing Toy Robot with our two chicken dishes: the chicken BLT for lunch and the half chicken dinner for supper.
Try it on tap, or purchase it at the bottle shop and online here.
